Lesser whistling duck of Bangladesh.

Lesser whistling duck, Dendrocygna javanica, is a common habitat bird of Bangladesh. The local Bangla name is pati sarali (পাতি সরালি). It is a long-necked duck. The length of the bird is 42 C.M., weight 500 gm. In winter, hundreds of migratory lesser whistling duck come in the country; and it is seen in all the divisions of the country. It is observed in the south, east and south East Asian’s Pakistan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, China, Taiwan, Myanmar, Thailand, Indo China, Malaysia and Indonesia. It is not threatened In Bangladesh or in the Earth.
